The Context

Nigeria’s coffee and tea farmers face invisibility, limited finance, and weak market access. Evergreen CTRF exists to change that reality.

Agriculture is central to Nigeria’s diversification agenda, yet thousands of smallholder coffee and tea farmers remain undocumented and disconnected. Without visibility, they cannot access finance, organize into cooperatives, or meet international compliance standards. This invisibility locks them out of opportunity and weakens Nigeria’s potential in global markets.

Evergreen CTRF was established to address these systemic barriers. By creating a verified farmer registry, unlocking finance, and building traceable supply chains, CTRF positions farmers at the heart of sustainable exports and inclusive growth.

🌍 The Challenge of Invisibility

Thousands of coffee and tea farmers remain undocumented and unseen. Without verified identities, they cannot access finance, organize into cooperatives, or be recognized in policy frameworks.

💰 The Finance Gap

Smallholders are excluded from affordable credit because they lack records or collateral. This limits productivity, weakens resilience, and keeps farmers trapped in subsistence cycles.

📦 Global Compliance Pressure

International buyers demand traceability and EUDR‑compliant supply chains. Without verified data and transparent systems, Nigerian farmers risk being locked out of global markets.

👩🏾‍🌾 Youth & Gender Exclusion

Women and young people are underrepresented in farming structures. Their potential to drive innovation and resilience is lost without deliberate inclusion targets.
